Gingivostomatitis

An inflammatory condition of the gums and oral mucosa, most commonly caused by primary herpes simplex virus infection, especially in young children. It presents with painful oral ulcers, swollen bleeding gums, and fever and is usually self-limiting, though antiviral therapy may be needed in severe cases.
